There are four major components of dental operatory lighting, all
of which must be taken into consideration as you outfit your operatory.
These elements are your basic (ambient) room light, overhead patient
illumination, accessory dental worksurface lighting and intraoral
supplement lighting (such as headlights).
Typically, office designers combine ambient (whole room) needs and
accessory dental needs (the light for dental supplies), and create
a room that is so bright as to appear harsh to the patient.
The EP Triplex Track Illuminator combines patient and task (accessory)
lighting, allowing office designers to soften the overall operatory
illumination while increasing the doctor’s visual acuity.
All at a cost that is competitive with standard tracks.
